Antonio Valencia was elected to Manchester United's best player this year that rewarded Player of the Year award. It was no doubt happy to Valencia.
Selection of Player of the Year for the player in United's done through a vote of the members of the club's first team squad. Valencia got the most votes and immediately rewarded prizes awarded directly by Sir Alex Ferguson.
"It seems incredible that they put faith in me. I am very happy that I got support from them, "Valencia said as quoted by the Guardian, Wednesday (15/05/2012).
"It's hard when he could not go and live with a good pre season with the players. But as soon as this season goes, I prepare myself and my fitness and develop as a squad we play well, "he explained.
Valencia won the award is not just one. The man called Ferguson as being shy, it also won Goal of the Season (best goals) on his goal against Rovers Blacburn in April, and awards Supporter's Player of the Year.
"I am very happy to receive all three awards, after last night (Sunday night) became the longest night of my life, I will keep this in my heart," he added.
"This award should have 20 because all my teammates deserve each one. I thank them and thank my fans in Ecuador, as well as Manchester United fans wherever they are, "he concluded.
